US Senator, Tammy Duckworth
Iraq War veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and former VA Assistant Secretary, Sen. Duckworth was among the first Army women to fly combat missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Serving 23 years in the Reserves, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2014 and was elected to the Senate in 2016.
